As reported by ABC news online:
Cyclone Jim picks up speed
Queensland's first cyclone of the season has moved out to the Coral Sea and is starting to threaten New Caledonia.
The weather bureau's Geoff Callaghan says Tropical Cyclone Jim has picked up speed.
"It's about 900 kilometres east of Innsifail, moving fairly quickly," he said.
"We expect it could reach a category 3 overnight.
"It's a category 2 now and then it'll pose a rather large threat for New Caledonia."

I never did like New Caledonia.
