Christmas presents...

Oh, I didn't mention that Jessica and Kaitlin pitched in for Christmas, and got me a $25 gift certificate to iTunes. So here's what I got in 10 minutes flat.

I bought the album "Elk lake serenade" by Hayden. It's freeeekin awesome!
Everything I hoped for.

Second, I bought the Tom Waits modern classic "Mule Variations"
This one's a must have for the Waits fan...

Lastly, but not least-ly, I picked up the "In Moderation - EP" by the Soft Drugs. (Who were essentially Pedro the Lion, but with David playing drums instead of singing, and TW singing instead of playing keys. It's really good. I wish it had more songs.

Ahhh . . . New Music . . . One of the greatest gifts a person can give or receive. I am totally into giving books, music and movies because they play such a role in shaping who we are and how we cope with our worlds. People who don't let themselves get into it don't realize what they are missing. I think the gifts sound awesome, not that I'd like what you like, but that you'll get hours and years of enjoyment from such a simple, yet thoughtful gift. To me, its always among my favorites gifts, and usually some of the ones remembered longest! Just FYI, I received a CD from Brand New Sin, a 2 CD set from Lynyrd Skynyrd, and gift certificate I used to buy a copy of Aerosmith's "Toys In The Attic" that is autographed by all five members of the band!! (And I got two new books, Tommyland and a Rolling Stones biography, and the DVD set Kissology, DVD set of American Dad, and a couple other DVD's. I love that stuff! I hope you guys all get to feeling better soon. Happy New Year. (I am ready for it, believe me)

Welcome back bud!

That's quite a list, and as you said, not necessarily for me, but stuff you'll enjoy for years.

We're ready for the new year. The last one was definitely one of the most up and down years ever for us... which is sort of how we felt about you and Paula... it was so hard to watch her hurting all the time, but just as hard to lose her. Sorry... makin myself cry again... what a year.

Well, we love you man. Thanks for stickin around.
