I was driving up by Glen Eyre on the western side of town today, and I decided that the perfect song to drive through the mountains to is "Comfortably numb" by Pink Floyd. Not that anyone needed to know that, but as Ryan would say, I had and "apostrophe".
Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. Jim, you nailed it on the head with the verse that you recommended. It's one of my favorites, and a constant source of strength in my life. My dad had me memorize it when I was young and afraid of the dark, and it's gotten me through increasingly "dark" areas of my life. "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."
Very cool to have you bring it up. Thanks man.
Massa, Erina and Mom, thanks for your posts too. Love you all.
That's all for today. More later.
Jim

Don't you wish you could rig a shocker that you could reply back to spammers with? I personally would like to develop software that you can autorespond to all the spam you get by automatically registering their website to all of the other spam sites you have already received email from. So spammer #99 would get a response saying your email was invalid, but he would automatically start receiving junk mail from the first 98 spammers who had sent junk to you. . .
Its kind of like removing your contact information from junk snail mail, then stuffing the business reply envelopes with the garbage they are sending out and send it back so they get charged for the postage. But with the computer, all the "stuffing" could be automated!
I must say, this (above, the get-a-free-house entry) is bold . . . The first "commercial" I have seen in a blog . . .
My original comment was just going to be excellent song choice .. .. Stay focused, grasshopper . . .
Ooo I get those all the time. But my spammers are nice :) They always say something like, "I usually only read blogs about financing, but I'm glad I switched it up and read yours! Click here to buy some livestock!"
I hope things are looking up for you this week :)
WOW, Glen Areie (sp?) ... how many times have I heard about that as I studied The Navigators' DISCIPLESHIP JOURNAL magazine. I'll bet it's gorgeous, and a real witness to the God of the universe, who created all things.
Congrats, too, on remembering the Wisdom portion of the Book of James in the NT. You Dad must really have needed it a lot in his own life to know how necessary it would be to pass on to his kids.
Signed, Dad....I mean, "Anonymous"! : )
well i can't wait to try the whole comfortably numb in the mountains... i have recently come to the conclusion that for nights like last night where it was just perfect qweather... not too hot and not too cold just the exact tempurature you want it to be when you drive with the windows open at night... anyways on those nights i like to drive down dark curvy roads and listen to coldplay "swallowed in the sea"... anywho... hope all is well and that you are enjoying colorado
